In 1992, St. Mary of Egypt Orthodox Monastery, a women's monastery, in the heart of Cleveland, Ohio, started with a three dollar donation.

The Monastery is currently under the omophorion (authority) of the Orthodox Metropolis of Pittsburgh, the Archdiocese of America in New York and the Ecumenical Patriarchate of Constantinople.

MISSION STATEMENT

This Monastery responds to the call of our Lord Jesus Christ through prayer and the offering of monastic love and hospitality to our guests and people in need.
